TERMS OF USE
These Website Terms of Use govern your access to and use of roaster.quest and related services, products, features, pages, content, and applications (collectively, the "Service").
The Service is operated by Trana, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Company," "ROASTER," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
ROASTER is an AI-generated satire and entertainment product. It is not a factual reporting service, investigation service, reputation service, legal service, financial service, or professional advice product.
1. // THE SERVICE
ROASTER lets you generate AI-powered satire, parody, and roast-style "incident reports" based on public internet content — including public X profiles, Reddit posts, and context you provide.
Generated content may include jokes, exaggerated commentary, fictional "audits," "verdicts," "diagnoses," "incident reports," or similar comedic formats. These are part of the satire style. They are not factual claims.
Generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, exaggerated, absurd, offensive, or wrong.
2. // ACCOUNTS
You may need an account to generate roasts, purchase credits, react to content, or use certain features. We may support login through X, Google, email magic link, or other authentication methods.
You are responsible for your account and all activity under it. Do not share your credentials or use someone else's account without permission.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, abused the Service, attempted to bypass limits, or used the Service unlawfully.
3. // PUBLIC ATTRIBUTION
ROASTER lets you choose how you are publicly credited for content you generate. Your options:
- —your connected X handle
- —a pseudonym you choose
- —anonymous attribution
We do not publicly display your email address, Google account name, billing name, or legal name unless you intentionally provide that as your chosen public attribution.
Public anonymity does not mean system anonymity. We may maintain internal account records for abuse prevention, payments, moderation, safety, legal compliance, and support.
4. // USER CONTENT
"User Content" means content, prompts, handles, URLs, text, images, links, reactions, reports, pseudonyms, or other material you submit to or create through the Service.
You are responsible for your User Content and for the targets, posts, URLs, or context you submit. You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit it, and that your use of the Service will comply with these Terms and applicable law.
By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, and otherwise use that User Content solely to operate, provide, secure, moderate, improve, and support the Service.
5. // GENERATED CONTENT
The Service may generate AI outputs based on User Content and limited public context. Generated content is satire and entertainment. It is not verified, factual, or endorsed by us as true.
You are responsible for how you use, share, screenshot, publish, or distribute generated content.
You must not represent generated content as factual, verified, investigative, or endorsed by ROASTER.
We may remove, hide, modify, restrict, or refuse to generate any content at our discretion.
6. // PUBLIC ROAST PAGES
Generated roasts may appear on public pages accessible by direct URL (e.g. roaster.quest/r/[id]). These pages may be visible to anyone with the link and may appear in feeds, shared previews, cards, or other public surfaces within the Service.
Public roast pages are intended for sharing by direct URL, not for permanent search engine indexing. We mark them as noindex, which asks search engines not to include them in results. However, we cannot guarantee that all crawlers, archives, social platforms, or other services will honor noindex instructions.
7. // NO AI TRAINING ON GENERATED ROASTS
- —We do not use generated roasts to train AI models.
- —We do not sell generated roast data.
- —We do not sell public profile context, submitted Reddit post context, or generated roast content.
We may store generated roasts, source URLs, target handles, limited public context, logs, reports, and related metadata to operate the Service, display public roast pages, prevent abuse, process reports, provide support, enforce limits, debug issues, and improve safety.
8. // ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to use the Service to generate, submit, publish, share, or promote content that:
- —targets minors
- —reveals or attempts to reveal private information
- —doxxes, threatens, or harasses anyone
- —encourages self-harm, suicide, violence, or abuse
- —makes real factual accusations of crime, fraud, theft, abuse, assault, or other wrongdoing
- —attacks protected traits such as race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or similar characteristics
- —includes sexual humiliation or sexually explicit targeting of a person
- —impersonates another person or entity
- —violates privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights
- —attempts to coordinate harassment or abuse
- —uses the Service for spam, scraping, botting, manipulation, or automated abuse
- —attempts to bypass limits, payments, moderation systems, rate limits, or security controls
- —violates any applicable law or third-party platform rules
ROASTER is for satire, parody, and public internet commentary. It is not for harassment, doxxing, threats, real-world accusations, or targeted abuse.
9. // PUBLIC INTERNET SOURCES
The Service may use limited publicly visible context from public internet pages — such as public profile information, public posts, public Reddit post titles and bodies, public metadata, or user-submitted URLs. We do not claim ownership of third-party content and do not train AI models on submitted target content or generated roasts.
We may cache limited public context temporarily, or as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, prevent abuse, reduce repeated fetching, debug failures, process reports, or display generated pages.
If you believe content should be removed, contact support@roaster.quest with the relevant URL.
10. // REPORTS AND REMOVAL
To report content or request removal, email support@roaster.quest. Please include the roast URL, the reason for the report or request, and any helpful context.
We may hide, remove, restrict, or review content at our discretion — especially if it appears to violate these Terms, creates legal or safety risk, targets a minor, includes private information, makes unsupported factual accusations, or creates unnecessary harm.
11. // PAYMENTS, CREDITS, AND TIPS
ROASTER may sell one-time digital credits for additional roast generations or other paid features. Credits are digital goods with no cash value. They are not bank deposits, stored-value accounts, securities, tokens, crypto-assets, or financial instruments.
Credits may only be used inside the Service and cannot be transferred, resold, exchanged for money, withdrawn, or redeemed outside the Service.
Tips are voluntary support payments. Tips do not grant credits unless explicitly stated at checkout.
We may change prices, packages, limits, features, or credit rules at any time. Changes will not remove already-purchased credits except where necessary for fraud prevention, abuse prevention, legal compliance, refunds, chargebacks, or account termination.
12. // REFUND POLICY
Unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by law:
- —used credits are not refundable
- —tips are not refundable
- —unused credits may be reviewed for refund at our discretion
- —purchases associated with fraud, abuse, chargebacks, or Terms violations may be denied or reversed
For billing issues, contact support@roaster.quest. Include the email used at checkout, approximate payment date, and the item purchased. Do not send full card numbers or sensitive payment details.
13. // THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The Service may rely on third-party services including hosting providers, authentication providers, payment processors, AI model providers, analytics providers, social platforms, and public internet sources. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services, content, links, platform behavior, or outages.
14. // INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Service — including its software, design, interface, branding, logos, systems, prompts, workflows, and other materials — is owned by Company or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, scrape, reproduce, distribute, or create competing services from the Service.
You may share generated roast pages, screenshots, cards, and links for personal, non-commercial, social, commentary, or entertainment purposes — provided you do not remove ROASTER branding or present generated content as factual.
15. // FEEDBACK
If you provide feedback, ideas, suggestions, or bug reports, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation.
16. // COPYRIGHT POLICY
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email support@roaster.quest. Your notice should include:
- —your physical or electronic signature
- —identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- —identification of the material you want removed and information reasonably sufficient to locate it
- —your contact information
- —a statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- —a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material and may terminate repeat infringers.
17. // DISCLAIMERS
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPANY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, RELIABILITY, AND SAFETY.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- —THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE
- —GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, SAFE, FUNNY, COMPLETE, LEGAL, OR SUITABLE
- —PUBLIC ROAST PAGES WILL NOT BE COPIED, SCREENSHOTTED, ARCHIVED, INDEXED, OR SHARED BY THIRD PARTIES
- —THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS WILL HONOR NOINDEX, TAKEDOWN, OR REMOVAL REQUESTS
USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
18. // LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPANY AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, SUPPLIERS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPANY'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO COMPANY IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM; OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50).
19. // INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Company and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, suppliers, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- —your use of the Service
- —your User Content
- —your generated content sharing or publication
- —your violation of these Terms
- —your violation of law
- —your violation of any third-party rights
- —your misuse of the Service
20. // TERMINATION
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, abused the Service, or for any other reason. You may stop using the Service at any time.
After termination, we may delete, retain, hide, or preserve account data and content as reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, safety, reporting, backups, or legitimate business purposes.
21. // CHANGES TO THE SERVICE OR TERMS
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. If changes are material, we may provide notice by posting on the Site, updating the "Last revised" date, emailing users, or other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
22. // GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
23. // DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Before filing a claim, you agree to first contact us at support@roaster.quest and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis — except that either party may bring qualifying claims in small claims court, and either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief for intellectual property misuse or unauthorized access.
You and Company waive any right to a jury trial and agree that disputes may only be brought on an individual basis — not as a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action.
You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days after first accepting these Terms by emailing support@roaster.quest with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and including your name, account email (if applicable), and a clear statement that you wish to opt out.
If any part of this dispute resolution section is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will remain in effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.
24. // ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
You consent to receive communications from us electronically — including by email, notices on the Site, and in-product messages.
25. // EXPORT COMPLIANCE
You agree not to use, export, re-export, or transfer the Service in violation of applicable export control or sanctions laws.
26. // MISCELLANEOUS
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Company regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or by operation of law.
